About Us

Dan and I, we’re just two crazy kids in very normal Wichita, Kansas who decided to get married. We’ve been strictly friends since 2004, suddenly dating since December ‘09, and on an impulse in a tiny town in Northwest Kansas, engaged since February. Needless to say, we like to keep things speeding right along.
Along with chronic Twitterpation, we were also both recently diagnosed with Adult A.D.D. It’s an interesting challenge to a marriage situation because our particular symptoms make planning, budgeting and patience nearly impossible, and these things, if I recall, are very important to planning a wedding.
Of course, every bride and groom fights these elements to some extent, but when it becomes a disruption to everyday life like it has for us, that’s when the therapist and a bottle of Ritalin come in. I’ve been seeing my doctor for 9 months now, so we’re working on getting Dan to a therapist soon. We’re both really excited to see what will come of it.
Unfortunately, along with all that therapy comes copays and prescriptions, and while we have love and each other, we’re paycheck-to-paycheck at the moment. A computer salesman and a graphic designer respectively, we’ve decided to keep this wedding tightly budgeted (assuming we figure one out) and completely debt free. We’re keeping it simple, keeping it small but keeping it lovely, and that’s fine with us.
So in the middle of growing our relationship with each other, our newly discovered selves and Jesus Christ, we decided to throw a wedding in there. We’re not in the circus, but we seem to be pretty good at juggling, but I guess that’s just how we roll around here. It’s not been an easy route, but we’re hoping for the best and praying for a bright future!
Cheers.
Erin & Dan
